Responsibilities
- Enforce sectional and departmental policies and procedures to promote effective operations.
- Monitor supply purchases, worked hours, and adjust personnel scheduling according to patient census fluctuations.
- Provide guidance and support to technical personnel for problem-solving and training.
- Develop, review, and revise policy and procedure manuals to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Evaluate technical performance and competency of personnel, providing ongoing support for employee development.
- Identify and resolve departmental problems, keeping supervisors informed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MT/MLT certification from ASCP required.
- 5-7 years of MT/MLS experience in a hospital lab setting.
