Job Description
The University of Vermont Health Network is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit team. As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients throughout their perioperative journey, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure evaluation and education.
The Perioperative Services Float RN will have the opportunity to gain proficiency in two out of three areas: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
- Completion of CVPH critical care course or passing grade on challenge exam within six months.
- Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience; Critical Care experience preferred.
- ACLS required, PALS within 12 months.
Additional Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.
- Proficient in IV therapy and venipuncture.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Benefits
On-call duties as scheduled. $10,000 sign-on bonus, prorated for part-time employees.
