Job Description
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Alternative Care Unit at Shep 3 North, part of The University of Vermont Health Network. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new unit opened in 2024, catering to long-term care patients awaiting placement. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, with a preference for experience as a charge nurse overseeing LPNs and LNAs. Long-term care experience is also beneficial.
Unit Description
- Unit: Shep 3 North - Alternative Care Unit
- Patients: 18-20 long-term care patients with various diagnoses
- Environment: Resembles a long-term care facility
Requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience as a charge nurse preferred
- Long-term care experience is a plus
