Job Description
We are looking for a diligent Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in keeping our store organized and customer-friendly. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, cashiering, and ensuring the store is clean and well-maintained. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Assist customers with their shopping needs
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Provide feedback on products and inventory management
- Participate in inventory counts and adhere to cash handling policies
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure store security
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and store equipment
- Capable of meeting physical demands of the job
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask efficiently
- Compliance with state and local regulations for selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous retail experience (preferred)
- Combination of education and experience considered
