Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for various in-store tasks such as merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. By working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall customer shopping experience through exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to the management team
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies and minimize losses
• Follow company policies, uphold security, and maintain confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
• General cleaning duties and adherence to company standards
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to follow instructions and multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in retail preferred
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
