Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. Your dedication to exceptional customer service and collaboration with the Aldi team will ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
- Follow company policies while maintaining document and data security
- Complete other assigned duties as required
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficiently operate a cash register
- Safely handle equipment and perform general cleaning tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
