Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and maintained to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. From cashiering to cleaning, your responsibilities will be diverse and essential to the smooth operation of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer purchases and handle transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers and addressing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
  • Conduct inventory counts and ensure accuracy in stock levels.
  • Follow cash handling procedures to uphold security measures.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while prioritizing customer and employee safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Experience in retail and operating cash registers is preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Compliance with state regulations for alcohol sales, if applicable.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior retail experience is beneficial.
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered.
