Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and independently responsible Accountant to join our team at Piedmont Triad Regional Council. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for working directly with the general ledger, performing routine to complex accounting tasks, and helping to prepare and analyze fiscal reports. The ideal candidate should be a CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience. This position offers an anticipated salary of $50,233.28 DOQ, along with excellent benefits including participation in the Local Government Employees Retirement System (LGERS).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and modify accounting procedures, systems, and policies.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing fiscal reports.
  • Interpret and follow the Fiscal Control Act.
  • Exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Current CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, methods, and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
