Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and reliable Merchandise Handlers to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing merchandise within our warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to maintain inventory accuracy, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse to maximize space.
• Prepare merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment according to company guidelines.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage product flow and ensure accuracy of customer orders.
• Provide training to colleagues and lead by example in all warehouse operations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure excellent service.
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment by following safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards completion).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• A valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge are required.
• Prior experience with POS systems is desirable.
