Job Description
We are offering a paid internship/co-op opportunity at Middle River Aerostructure Systems for the summer of 2024. As part of our program, you will gain hands-on experience in various areas like design, engineering, lean practices, manufacturing, quality control, engineering services, and sourcing. You will work on projects that involve independent decision-making, develop presentations, analyze data, and potentially take on aspects of a full-time job within your field of study. This internship will help you build leadership and functional skills through structured training and challenging work assignments.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects individually, ranging from 2 to 6 months in duration.
- Develop presentations to communicate progress and best practices.
- Analyze data using Excel or other tools.
- Participate in events, seminars, or training.
- Perform assignments with trust and accuracy.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor's or technical degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed at least one full year of college (rising sophomore).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green card holder.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 24 credit hours toward a bachelor's/technical degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Material Science, or related field.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and think ahead.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Capable of identifying and prioritizing issues, creating solutions, and meeting deadlines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
