Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Clinical Development Lead specializing in Solid Tumor Oncology, specifically in Biliary Tract Cancer (BTC) and Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma (GEA). As a Clinical Development Lead at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, you will be at the forefront of late-stage development and life-cycle management for a key Oncology asset. Your strategic leadership will drive the Clinical Development strategy for BTC and GEA, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance the asset through development stages to commercialization. Additionally, you will oversee a team of Medical Directors and Clinical Scientists, ensuring resource planning, budget management, and a high-performance culture focused on positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the clinical development of BTC and GEA Oncology program.
- Develop Global clinical development plans for Oncology specific to BTC and GEA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of clinical development programs.
- Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate timely submissions and approvals.
- Oversight of clinical trials, data analysis, risk management, and external collaboration.
- Manage budget allocation and resource planning for clinical development programs.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the clinical development team, providing mentorship and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in successfully leading Solid Tumor Oncology asset development through late-stage development and commercialization.
- Proven track record in leading high-performing clinical development teams.
- Executive presence with the ability to communicate complex insights effectively.
- MD required, Board certified Oncologist preferred.
- Higher postgraduate degree e.g., PhD preferred.
- Clinical and/or development experience in solid tumor oncology, such as BTC or Gastrointestinal cancers preferred.
