Director Toxicology

Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc is seeking a Director of Toxicology to oversee the global nonclinical regulatory toxicology of assigned portfolio products. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing toxicology studies at external facilities, providing toxicology expertise, and contributing to drug development strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support direct reports in designing and conducting toxicology studies.
• Manage nonclinical studies at CROs ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Review and finalize toxicology study reports, analyze data, and propose de-risking strategies.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and scientific responses to health authorities.
• Provide subject matter expertise to key internal functions and collaborators.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related field.
• 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in drug development toxicology.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH regulations.
• Experience in authoring non-clinical elements of regulatory submissions.
• Excellent communication and scientific writing skills.
