Job Description
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director, Toxicology to manage the global nonclinical regulatory and investigative toxicology of assigned portfolio products. The ideal candidate will lead and support toxicology studies, represent Toxicology in cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with global regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and manage direct reports in toxicology.
- Design, monitor, and report toxicology studies at external CROs.
- Convey Toxicology consensus positions, propose de-risking strategies, and respond to health authority inquiries.
- Provide input on discovery and nonclinical development strategy.
- Collaborate with key internal functions and contribute to departmental processes.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Biochemistry, or Biology.
- 8-10 years of experience in small and large molecules, oncology, and CNS indications.
- Expertise in outsourcing and monitoring toxicology studies, GLP regulations, and major regulatory submissions.
- Strong scientific writing skills, interpersonal communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
