Application Engineer (React Native)

Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer specializing in React Native to join our team at Discover Financial Services. As a Front End Application Engineer, you will collaborate with product designers and user experience experts to enhance the customer experience on discover.com. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, programming, testing, and deploying new features with a focus on quality and operational excellence. Additionally, you will mentor Associate Application Engineers, guide design decisions, manage technical risks, and actively contribute to technology communities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Internal applicants must demonstrate technical proficiency as competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Native, Redux, and Frontend application frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Agile methodology, and object-oriented programming.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
