Job Description

We are looking for a skilled RN Navigator specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant- Benign Hematology to join our team at MUSC. As a Benign Hematology Nurse Navigator, you will utilize your clinical knowledge to provide personalized assistance to patients and caregivers, ensuring efficient healthcare navigation and facilitating quality care delivery. This role plays a critical part in communication among multidisciplinary providers for optimal treatment coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely clinical reviews of new patient referrals and facilitate streamlined visits.
• Guide Patient Access Center scheduling through triage clinical reviews.
• Manage transitions of care between various healthcare services.
• Conduct new patient evaluations and provide patient education, identifying those suitable for e-consult appointments.

Training and Education

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, at least two years of clinical nursing experience, and current RN licensure. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to develop and evaluate educational programs effectively.

Licensure/Certification Requirement

Must be a registered nurse licensed in South Carolina or a compact state with current Basic Life Support certification. Additional certifications may be required.

Physical Requirements

This position involves various physical demands, including standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and lifting. Candidates should be capable of performing tasks that require physical strength and coordination.
