Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Join our team at Blount Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit organization committed to improving the health and well-being of the community. We are currently looking for an Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services at sporting events, community events, and in clinical settings to athletes through our Sports Medicine Program. As an Athletic Trainer, you will assess athletes, monitor progress, document treatment responses, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess athletes and provide physical therapy care based on individual needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Provide patient, staff, and community education on athletic training and physical therapy.
• Interact professionally with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements

• Valid Athletic Training license by the State of Tennessee Division of Health Related Boards.
• CPR Certification required.
• Membership in professional association recommended.
• Strong knowledge of growth and development, injury assessment, and physical therapy techniques.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and performance assessment skills.
