CAREGIVER

Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate Teacher (Caregiver) to join Abacus Childcare as a Lead Teacher. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing the curriculum, creating lesson plans, and providing training to Assistant Teachers. This role involves maintaining positive relationships with parents, peers, and staff while ensuring a nurturing environment for children. The Lead Teacher must have relevant teaching qualifications, classroom experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively. Management experience is a plus.

Goals and Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Address employee issues with the director.
• Show respect for children and maintain updated files.
• Participate in special events and meetings outside regular hours.
• Be knowledgeable about First Aid procedures and CPR.
• Exhibit professionalism and leadership qualities.
• Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualifications with at least a CDA.
• Experience in managing staff and classroom operations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and uphold standards.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and handle office duties.
