Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join the team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing store activities, ensuring overall performance, developing operational plans, and fostering team growth through training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and executing action plans to enhance operational results.
- Define job roles and performance expectations for team members to achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify training needs to improve team performance.
- Understand and promote the company's strategy and values to encourage teamwork.
- Monitor the local market to suggest adjustments for maintaining competitiveness.
- Provide feedback on products and contribute to the selection process.
- Participate in recruitment activities.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures and customer service standards.
- Address operational concerns and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, merchandising, and product quality.
- Supervise daily operations, focusing on customer service and team performance.
- Comply with company policies and procedures to uphold data security and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proficient in interpreting and implementing company policies.
- Skills in goal-setting, performance evaluation, and budget management.
- Experience in retail and previous management roles preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
