Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc as a Care Team Nurse. In this role, you will be the clinical leader of the care team, working under the supervision of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include infection control, assessing patient needs, providing triage care, maintaining accurate medical records, administering vaccinations and medications, and ensuring effective communication between all parties involved.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control and age-appropriate pediatric care.
• Assess and address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and families.
• Provide urgent triage care and crisis management as required.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and communication between stakeholders.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform necessary in-office procedures efficiently.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care and follow-up with patients and families.
• Participate in ongoing pediatric-centered education and training.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a care team.
• Proficiency in handling sensitive medical information and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a current LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Continuing Educational Units (CEU's).
• Adherence to American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
