Manufacturing Process Specialist

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Process Specialist at Preformed Line Products, you will play a crucial role in driving global manufacturing performance improvement through equipment optimization, process engineering, and product engineering collaboration. You will lead technical process enhancements, increase productivity, ensure adherence to manufacturing process standards, and provide valuable input to product development engineers.

Essential Functions

• Manufacturing Process Leadership:
  1. Lead process improvement and troubleshooting support for metal and plastic fabrication.
  2. Enhance manufacturing productivity through process KPIs.
  3. Ensure alignment on manufacturing process standards and coach engineering teams for development.
• Production Equipment Strategy:
  1. Drive improvement plans for wire processing equipment.
  2. Maintain global machine design drawing catalog and enhance maintenance strategies.
  3. Review and support new capital equipment business case development.
• Product Engineering Collaboration:
  1. Provide input on product development for manufacturability.
  2. Support PLM software implementation.
• Operations Support and Technical Expertise:
  1. Introduce manufacturing developments to global sites.
  2. Assess operations performance and drive improvement actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum ten years of engineering or management experience.
• Proficiency in manufacturing technology and processing methods.
• Minimum five years of management experience.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with relevant software applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Capability to handle various projects simultaneously.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
