General Summary
As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will perform accurate diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology. Your role will involve ensuring patient safety, high-quality imaging, and adherence to radiation protection principles. You will contribute to a patient-focused environment, following Corewell Health's philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient histories and document them in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow protocols for malfunctions.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the department by assisting colleagues and adhering to quality standards.
- Provide patient education and ensure cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- Certified Radiographer (R) by ARRT upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
