General Summary
Under supervision, the Radiology Technologist performs accurate diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology. They must demonstrate excellent clinical skills, provide high-quality imaging, ensure patient safety, and uphold radiation protection principles. The technologist is responsible for patient care, maintaining equipment, and following Corewell Health's philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams with precision and efficiency.
- Acquire and document accurate patient history.
- Ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Perform radiographic procedures using appropriate methods.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently.
- Follow ALARA standards for radiation protection.
- Educate patients on procedures.
- Assist in training and maintaining department operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- Current CRT-Radiographer and BLS certifications required.
